Frequently Asked Questions

Edible Chef

Q: How old do you have to be to participate?
A. Since we will be cooking with cannabis, participants must be 21 years or older.
Please make sure to bring your non-expired ID, or State issued License. Temporary IDs
cannot be used to validate entry. Non-US Citizens must present a valid passport to
participate. These are the rules of the Marijuana Enforcement Division. Please note
that we card everyone, so come prepared.

Q: How do I register for a class?
A: Visit the
Edible Chef” calendar page. Click on the
meal or date that speaks to you, then sign yourself (and friends) up! We recommend you register in advance because events fill up fast. We will send you an email confirmation once you have completed the registration process.

Q: What are the general prices for the Edible Chef experience?
A: For Edible Chef the price range is $85-120+ tax, depending on what’s on
the menu. You can view each event cost by visiting the perspective event calendar.

Q: What kind of cuisines will we create?
A. The meal differs per class. Please see the class description to know what will be on
the menu.

Q: Are Your Classes Hands-On Or Demonstration?
A. Our classes are hands-on. To ensure all class participants learn the most important
parts of a given menu, certain key techniques will be executed by all class participants.
In order to facilitate the learning process and allow us to spend more time focusing on
the relevant techniques of a given class, we chop, prep, and measure all necessary
ingredients before students arrive. This way, we can spend longer mastering the truly
essential techniques of cannabis cooking.

Q: What if I have a food allergy?

A. Edible Chef is developed using common cooking and baking ingredients that may or
may not be specified in the menu titles, including various fruits and vegetables, nuts,
meats, spices, wheat flours, etc. If you have a food allergy, please inform the instructor
when you arrive.

Q: I Am A Vegetarian. Can You Accommodate Me?
A. Some of the classes are better suited for vegetarians; these are indicated on our calendar with a 'V' . You can let your chef know upon arrival that you are vegetarian, and she will make every effort to accommodate you and serve you a vegetarian dish instead.

Q: I'm New To Cooking. Do I Need To Have Any Special Skills To Attend Class?
A. Not at all. We're here to teach, and any skill levels are welcome. If you're new to
cooking, we suggest you ask your instructor plenty of questions; sometimes people are
shy about asking questions, but that really is one of the best ways to learn.

Q: Will I Get To Eat What We Cooked?
A. Absolutely! After the cooking is complete, you will sit down together as a class and
enjoy everything you all cooked together.

Q: Will I be able to take any leftovers home?
A. Unfortunately, we’re not able to send food home with our participants due to state
laws.

Q: Can I Drink Wine While Cooking?
A. Unfortunately not. However, once the cooking is done and you sit down to eat, you
can enjoy a glass of wine or non-alcoholic beverage of choice that is included in your
experience. You can also bring your own wine.

Q: What should I wear?
A. We ask that you wear comfortable, casual clothing and flat comfortable shoes. We
also ask that long hair be tied back. Please do not wear open-toed shoes or sandals.

Q: Do I Need To Bring Anything To Class?
A. Only an open mind to learn and a hearty appetite!

Q: Do you provide aprons?
A. Yes we do!

Q: Do You Provide Printed Recipes?
A. Yes, you get a set to take home so you can recreate the menu at home. And if you
ever lose your recipes, we'll be happy to email them to you!

Q:What is the format of your classes?
A. Great cooking isn't about recipes—it's about techniques. In our classes you'll work
together with other participants in a fun, hands-on environment led by our professional
chef instructors. Classes are 2-3 hours, unless otherwise noted on the registration page.

Q:Should I register for a class with a waitlist?
A. If a class is in waitlist status, you can add your name to the waiting list. You do not
need to submit any payment information until a spot becomes available. If an opening
becomes available, you will be contacted by phone or email. Please provide the best
phone number to reach you during the day. Your credit card information will be required
at the time you accept a spot in the class. Depending on kitchen availability and interest,
we may add additional classes to satisfy demand.

Q:Is there a ‘dine only’ option?
A. Yes there is! You can enjoy a cannabis-infused dinner made by one of our chefs.
Please check for “Dine-In Only” options on the monthly calendar.

Q: Do You Teach At People's Homes?
Yes, we can come to you. This would be considered a
private event.

Q: What if I am very late?
We work very hard to respect the schedules of our clients and we do start our classes
on time. Certainly occasions do arise when you are running late for a particular reason –
but please let us know. A late entry to the class can be very distracting to the other
participants, so we ask that you be here 10 minutes before the start of the class to
ensure you are ready for a timely start.

Q:What is your cancellation policy for classes?
A: We will issue a credit of any Kreativ Kanvas Experience with a 48 hour notice.
